Join illustrator Angie Lewin and author Christopher Stocks in conversation with Dovecot Director, Celia Joicey, to discuss The Book of Wild Flowers combined with a last chance to see Andy Warhol: The Textiles.

The Book of Wild Flowers is a celebration of British wild flowers and their place in the landscape. Following the hugely successful The Book of Pebbles, it highlights Lewin's favourite wild flowers through her exquisite paintings and illustrations, many of them created specially for the book. Christopher Stocks explores their beguiling and sometimes peculiar history, and reveals some of the best places to see them, as well as the conditions in which they thrive. The event will feature discussion of Angie Lewin’s new tapestry with Dovecot Studios Teabowl and Bracken, where the Dovecot Weavers interpreted a tiny woodcut at a glorious scale.

The event is followed by a special book signing and entry to Andy Warhol: The Textiles from 12:00.

Angie Lewin studied fine art at the Central School of Art and has since become a highly regarded painter, printmaker and designer. She is a member of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter- Printmakers.

Christopher Stocks is an author, journalist and trainee bellringer. He is the author of The Book of Pebbles and his first book, Forgotten Fruits, a social history of British fruit and vegetables, became an unlikely success, with Monty Don choosing it as his favourite book of the year.
